Overview
Matrix-based tool for selecting and coordinating ABB's low-voltage products. Interactive selectivity and protection coordination in one visual workflow.

Challenge
Verifying selectivity between two circuit breakers meant reading tripping curves from PDFs and overlaying them by hand. One plant meant checking every device pair in the chain this way. Errors were easy to miss and expensive to catch late — a wrong coordination in a safety-critical system doesn't fail quietly. ABB needed engineers to build and verify entire breaker chains in one place, without leaving the tool to open a datasheet.

Chain builder
assemble breaker chains from ABB's catalog, upstream to downstream
Coordination matrix
six million device pair coordinations, pre-calculated and searchable
Live selectivity view
selectivity values appear as engineers build, in the same chain view
Export to project
completed chains export to Excel and BoM for the PowerCore suite

Beyond the numbers: SOC 3.0 turned selectivity verification from a curve-reading exercise into a build-and-check flow. Engineers design the chain and see the coordination in the same view.
